Glenn Helgason presently operates an 11,000 acre grain farm near Foam Lake, SK.  He obtained his BSA from the University of Saskatchewan (1990) and is a member of the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.  Presently, he serves as Chairman of the Board of MBTI, secretary/treasurer of the Foam Lake Elks Lodge, and is a member of the Foam Lake Marketing Club. He is married to Bernadette and they have 3 boys, Devin, Drew and Regan.  His interests include hunting, hockey, curling, snowmobiling and most outdoor sports. To view the "Letter From the Chairman" Click HERE.

 

Daniel K Halyk is the President and CEO of Total Energy Services Inc., a TSE listed public energy services company which he founded in 1996. Mr., Halyk is also a principal of Trident Capital Partners LP, a limited partnership that he co-founded in 1997 that makes investments primarily in the energy industry. Prior to starting Total and Trident, Mr. Halyk practiced corporate and securities law with Bennett Jones LLP in Calgary. Mr. Halyk serves on the board of several private companies that are primarily involved in the energy and real estate industries. Mr. Halyk is also a director and incoming chair of the finance committee of the Calgary Winter Club and a member of the advisory board of the University of Calgary School of Public Policy. Mr. Halyk recently served as a member of the five person Alberta Financial Investment Planning and advisory Council that reviewed government savings in Alberta and reported to the Minister of Finance in 2008. Mr. Halyk attended the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees. Mr. Halyk served as a clerk to the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal before being called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1993 and the Alberta Bar in 1994.

 

Greg Melchin is a Director of Total Energy Services Inc. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1997 to 2008. For seven years, he served as a Minister of the Crown, including Minister of Revenue (2001-2004) and Minister of Energy (2004-2006). Mr. Melchin left elected office in March of 2008 and currently serves on the board of Baytex Energy Trust (a public oil and gas trust), and Enmax Corporation (a utility owned by the City of Calgary). Mr. Melchin also serves as a Chair of PPP Canada Inc., a recently incorporated federal Crown corporation established to work with the public and private sectors to support the development of public-private partnerships in public infrastructure projects.Mr. Melchin received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1980 and his F.C.A. designation in 2004. Mr. Melchin also received his Institute of Corporate Directors designation in June of 2007.

 

Bruce L. Pachkowski has been a principal of Trident Capital Partners LP since December 1997. Mr. Pachkowski is a founding director, and currently chairman of the board of directors of Total Energy Services Inc. (a public energy services company listed on the TSE) and a director of several private companies. Prior to his involvement with Trident, Mr. Pachkowski was the President and director of Emergo Canada Ltd., a private equity investment group with activities in Canada, the United States and Eastern Europe. Before joining Emergo Canada Ltd., Mr. Pachkowski practiced as a chartered accountant for over 12 years, latterly as a partner of KPMG Peat Marwick Thorne and a Senior Vice President of Peat Marwick Thorne Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Calgary, Faculty of Management and holds the designation of Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator.  Mr. Pachkowski has served as a member of the Management Advisory Council with the Faculty of Management, University of Calgary and the Faculty's International Business Advisory Group.

 

Bob Eyolfson and his wife Wendy operate B.W. Seeds, a grain, oilseed and Pedigree Seed farm.  They are also a retailer for shortline farm supplies.  Bob is extensively involved in his community and has served on various Boards and Committees in the Foam Lake area.  Bob and Wendy have three daughters.
