Milligan Bio-Tech Featured in the News

Milligan Bio-Tech Inc. has been featured in different news media in the last few months. Some of these include: the Summer 2009 “Green Trucking” edition of Western Canada Highway News, the March 4, 2010 edition of the Lethbridge Herald, the Spring 2010 edition of the Alberta Biodiesel Association magazine and a prominent cover page article in the October/November 2009 issue of the “rural councillor” a magazine published by the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities.

The Western Canada Highway News article focused on Milligan’s Diesel Fuel Conditioner as an environmentally friendly way to combat the effects of ULSD (ultra-low sulphur diesel). The article included the M-ROCLE Test for Diesel Fuel Lubricity chart as well as a cost comparison and savings chart.

Kevin Therres’ Jet Car was featured in the Lethbridge Herald. “Prairie Gold” was on display for the first time this year at the Lethbridge Ag Expo. Jonn Hartwell, our salesman for the area, was on hand to answer any questions about the car and Milligan Bio-Tech Inc. Prairie Gold is the world’s first Bio-diesel Jet Car running on Milligan’s bio-diesel, and powered by a Pratt & Whitney J60 engine.

Milligan Bio-Tech’s Grand Opening in July of 2009 was the cover page article in the Rural Councillor. The cover page featured a picture of one of the company cars being fuelled with bio-diesel from our plant. The story itself went on to discuss the history of Milligan Bio-Tech as well as the years of research and development in conjunction with the U of S and Agriculture & Agri Food Canada. Milligan Bio-Tech’s impact on the local, provincial and national economy was noted, including the fact that Milligan Bio-Tech is responsible for attracting former Foam Lake residents back home for employment opportunities, as well as bringing new families to the area. The future of Milligan Bio-Tech, including new research, development and expansion are all in the forefront in anticipation of the 2012 federal mandate of 2% renewable diesel content in all on-road diesel.
